Wow. Some slaves to the communist bankers have it better than other slaves to the communist bankers. Great point.
It is important not to confuse “standard of living” (e.g. indoor bathrooms, fast roads) with “quality of life” (e.g. fresh farm food, clean air, social coherence). My late father was 11 years old when the first motor car arrived in his village (~1920). He went on to become a radar and rocketry engineer. His view of it was that as the “standard of living” has gone up so the “quality of life” has gone down.
