Can the BRICS escape the orbit of the Western Empire?

If the BRICS ever hope to escape the orbit and dominance of the Western Empire they will need to organize an international clearing Union under their own control, along the lines of the Bancor proposal of John Maynard Keynes which he put forth in 1944 at the Bretton Woods conference. If that proposal had been adopted it might have saved the world 80 years of grief and violent conflict.

  1. I just read an essay titled, Trump sets up massive shell-game deception to keep Ukrainian war machine going and threaten Russia with an ultimatum, posted on Substack by Leo Hohmann. I think he is correct as far as it goes, but he is missing the bigger picture.

    Here is my comment on it:
    I think you have it mostly right, but I add two things:

    1. With the US and Israeli attacks on Iran and Israel’s near neighbors, and the continuing proxy war against Russia waged by the Western Empire, World War III is actually being waged against BRICS which is challenging the global order.
    2. WW III is more likely to be waged mostly in cyberspace rather than the “old-fashioned way” of attacks on territory using aircraft, bombs, missiles, and drones. The race is now on to determine who can gain superiority in both defensive and offensive cyber-weaponry.
